Florida has many different beautiful resorts and attractions available for your family holidays (link opens in a new window). With this being said, how do you know which area is ideal for your family holiday? We have put together some great information on some of the favourite spots and attractions that might be useful in helping you decide where to take your next holiday.
Let's begin in beautiful Lake Buena Vista. Lake Buena Vista is located in Orange County Florida. It has become a popular destination for holiday makers because of the many theme parks that are located here. These parks include Epcot Center, Disney's Animal Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, and Walt Disney World Resort. This is an awesome destination that your kids will truly enjoy. There are many different hotels and restaurants available, and families often find that they can get great discounts on tickets for the area attractions. In addition to the theme parks, parents can enjoy shopping at Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores or even a round of golf at one of the many beautiful courses in the area.

Thirteen miles Southeast is gorgeous Kissimmee Florida. Kissimmee is just a short drive to all of the Theme Parks previously mentioned. Kissimmee also has a large amount of resorts and hotels available. In addition, Kissimmee is home to some of its own attractions that include Boggy Creek Airboat and Swamp Buggy Rides, Old Town, Disney Wildlife Preserve, SkyScapes Balloon Tours, Big Toho Marina, and many more! Once again there are many beautiful golf courses to play on and several unique restaurant choices available. There is never a dull moment in Kissimmee and you will absolutely fall in love with the city once you visit.

Orlando is located about fifteen minutes north of Lake Buena Vista. Once again, it is just a short drive to all of the major theme parks. Orlando is also home to Orlando's International Drive or "I-Drive". I-Drive offers unlimited fun for you and your family. Just some of the major attractions include SeaWorld, Discovery Cove, Aquatica, Wet 'n Wild, Universal Studios, and Islands of Adventure. I-Drive is also home to over one hundred hotels and resorts, over four hundred designer, brand-name outlet stores, hundreds of spectacular restaurants, and even a convenient I-Ride Trolley Service. The Trolley Service will get you to and from each attraction for a low price, there are day tickets available, and kids under twelve ride free! There is no need to search for parking spots when you can ride the Trolley. Now that is convenience at its best!

So, you now have a better idea of the areas available for your family getaway. How will you decide which attractions you will take in? Let's explore some of the main theme parks in Florida.
We will begin in the world famous Walt Disney World Resort. Walt Disney World opened up in 1971, and has been a destination for cheap package holidays (link opens in a new window) ever since. Walt Disney World is truly a world of its own that is spread out on 35,000 acres! Within the world, you will find four theme parks, two water parks, thirty resort hotels, six golf courses, and two dining-shopping entertainment complexes. If you choose to stay at Walt Disney World Resort, keep in mind that you will not be able to take in all of the fun during one holiday.

Epcot Center is one of Walt Disney's four theme parks. Epcot is a unique experience that is divided between Future World and World Showcase themes. There are live performers to keep you entertained, Disney attractions, interactive play, dining, tours, and shopping just to name a few. The World Showcase offers attractions and restaurants that represent the culture and cuisine of eleven different countries. Epcot Center is fun and exciting and gives an experience that is out of this world!
Magic Kingdom theme park is another of Walt Disney's four theme parks. Magic Kingdom captures the enchantment of fairy tales with exciting entertainment, classic attractions, backstage tours and beloved Disney Characters. The different paths in Magic Kingdom will lead you to seven different whimsical lands; Main Street U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, Mickey's Toontown Fair, and Tomorrowland areas. Besides the attractions, Magic Kingdom also offers dining, tours, and shopping. This is a park that your kids will absolutely fall in love with!

The third of Walt Disney's four theme parks is Disney's Animal Kingdom. This park is filled with wonderful creatures that any animal lover will enjoy. It is home to over 1700 animals from 250 different species. The park is divided into seven areas; Oasis, Discovery Island, Camp Minnie-Mickey, Africa, Rafiki's Planet watch, Asia, and Dinoland U.S.A. areas. The park also offers several dining and entertainment options. If you and your family love animals, this is the place to be!
The last of the four Walt Disney Theme Parks is Disney's Hollywood Studios. This is a theme park that will be sure to please each member of your family. Disney's Hollywood Studios offers behind-the-scenes glimpses of Hollywood-style action with live shows, thrilling attractions, backstage tours and special events that only happen in this Disney Park dedicated to entertainment. The park bares a cool resemblance to a busy movie set. There are many new attractions that even include The American Idol Experience. This park also offers dining and shopping options. Disney's Hollywood Studios is a different experience that the whole family will enjoy.
This is just a glimpse of what Florida has to offer in their resorts and attractions. Your family will enjoy any of the locations mentioned.
